What to Bring to Meridell
Items you should bring to Meridell:
- Five shirts/blouses (must cover midriff)
- Five pairs of pants/shorts (shorts must cover entire thigh)
- Seven pair of underwear/bras
- Several pair of comfortable shoes including athletic shoes for gym use
- Flip flops/shower shoes
- Pajamas/shorts/tee shirts for sleeping
- Swim suit and swim shoes in warm weather (one-piece swim suits for girls)
- Coat/raincoat
- Stamps, envelopes, stationery
- Birth certificate
- Social Security card
- Immunization records
- Last report card
- Insurance cards
Items you may bring:
- Hair dryer/curling iron
- Make-up
- Watch/cordless clock
- Board games, cards
- Up to three toys/stuffed animals (no battery-operated toys)
- Magazines/books
- Up to $20.00 (will be kept in Business Office)
- Personal pillow, blanket, bedspread
Please do not bring:
- Radio (allowed on designated units, please ask)
- Tape/CD players/cassette tapes/CDs
- Hand-held games/video games
- Expensive/excessive jewelry
- Electronic equipment, cameras, flashlights, items with cords
- Razors
- Matches, lighters, tobacco products
- Glass items, i.e. รบ nail polish, compact mirrors, cologne/perfume
- Steel-toed boots
- Posters/videos/clothing with drug/gang/sexual/demonic connotations
- Snacks/food
- Aerosol cans
- Crayons/markers/pens not allowed on childrens unit
- Weapons
